SEOUL BBQ

Seoul BBQ is a Korean barbeque restaurant in New Britain, CT. The restaurant owner was looking for a new logo that was more eye catching than their outdated one. The specifications were loose, but he wanted something modern and trendy. He also expressed an idea of using cartoonish icons of a pig, chicken and cow as part of the logo, as those are the 3 main products they serve. In the main logo I pulled reference from the South Korean flag. The red and blue colors are from the circular symbol in the middle, and the "E" is a reference to one of the 4 trigram symbols, specifically "ri" which is associated with the element fire. In the end I thought the logo stood better on its own without the cartoon animals, but they served as an excellent secondary logo.
