JOY PEPE
PERSONAL WEBSITE
I was approached to put together concepts for a personal website, as well as a brand logomark, for a former collegiate professor of mine. Joy Pepe is an accomplished professor of art history, covering topics ranging from the Renaissance to modern pop art. She wanted something that blended classic and contemporary styles. For the logo, I combined a serif and sans serif typeface to evoke this idea of old and new. I chose to make the artwork the hero of the landing page, featuring a cycling carousel of famous works of art throughout history. The site concept utilizes blacks and whites, with sleek lines and bold typefaces. This brings an aura of professionalism, while allowing the imagery to shine.
